Pad print vs Screen print — pens
Pad print for small curved areas (pen barrels, golf balls, electronics). Screen print for larger flat or cylindrical pen panels (clips, full barrel wrap).
When to choose option A
Pad printing is the workhorse for pen branding — the silicone pad conforms to curved barrels, clips and caps. 1–4 colours, very low unit cost above 500 units, no setup penalty for re-orders thanks to stored cliché plates.
When to choose option B
Screen printing on pens uses curved-bed jigs and gives sharper colour density and larger imprint areas. Better for branding the full barrel circumference or specialty PMS shades that pad ink can't match.
