Pad print vs UV print
Pad print for small, curved or recessed surfaces (pens, USB sticks, lighters) in 1-4 spot colours. UV print for flat or gently curved surfaces in full CMYK with no plates.
When to choose pad print
Pad print uses a silicone pad to transfer ink onto irregular, curved, recessed or small surfaces where digital UV cannot reach. Up to 4 spot colours, Pantone-matched. MOQ from 100 pieces. Best for cheap pens, USB sticks, lighters, key rings and small giveaways at scale.
When to choose UV print
UV print delivers full CMYK + white directly from a digital file — no plates, no setup. Best for flat or gently curved hard surfaces. Cost-effective from 50 pieces. Photo-quality colour. Use for power banks, hard cases, notebooks, wooden items and anodised aluminium where colour fidelity matters.
