1 full day in Milano (or live online). Hands-on: light booth, fabric swatches, Delta-E measurements, Pantone TPX vs TPG, 2026 colour-of-the-year deep-dive.
Hands-on agenda
Morning — Pantone systems (TPX paper, TPG plastic, TCX cotton); calibrating a light booth (D65); measuring Delta-E (CIE2000); when ΔE<1.5 matters and when it doesn't. Afternoon — Real fabric samples in 12 popular Pantones, screen-vs-fabric reconciliation, dye-house tolerances. Evening — colour stories for 2026 (announced by Pantone every December).
What you take home
Each attendee gets: Pantone TPX fan-deck (small, 100 colours), pocket light booth (D65 LED), the Corp-Merch Pantone reconciliation worksheet (Excel), and 6 fabric samples in your brand colours (we'll prep these from your brand guidelines pre-class). Pricing in EUR with IVA 22% — invoice via SdI.
Who teaches it
Led by Corp-Merch's Color Manager (former Pantone EMEA consultant, 12 years matching colours for Nike and Adidas). Max 12 attendees so everyone gets light-booth time. EUR 590 per seat; bring a brand guideline PDF and we'll prep your samples in advance.
FAQ
In-person only?
Light booth and fabric exercises require in-person — held in Milano. Online edition (EUR 290) covers theory but you receive only the fan-deck (no light booth or fabric samples).
Why does Delta-E matter?
ΔE<1.5 is the threshold for 'just noticeable difference' to a trained eye. Critical for premium merch (logo on dark base, two-tone designs); less important for novelty items. We teach when to push for it and when to accept ΔE 2.5–3.
Do you cover digital colour?
Briefly — sRGB / Adobe RGB / DisplayP3 monitors and how they fail to predict fabric. Take-away: never approve fabric from a screen; always physical samples.
What about Pantone for embroidery thread?
Yes — we cover Madeira and Robison-Anton thread cross-references to Pantone TPX. Most popular Pantones map directly; harder colours (fluo, metallic) require dedicated thread.
