Merchandising for beekeepers, consortia and Pro Loco of the Festa del Miele
- Dates
- Traditionally in autumn (October), aligned with the end of the summer honey harvest and with the calendar of Italian honey sagre. Specific dates published on the Pro Loco or organising committee calendar before the event.
- Venue
- Historic centre of the village that hosts the Festa del Miele: main square, cloister of the parish church or former convent, loggias of the town hall, multi-purpose hall for the school workshops, council chamber for the round tables. The stand layout follows the traditional circuit of honey sagre with beekeepers along the main street, tastings in the square, schools in the indoor halls, awards on the square stage.
- General calendar
- The Festa del Miele opens with the Saturday ribbon-cutting, runs through the Sunday and Monday days, the beekeepers’ round tables, the awarded-honey prize ceremony, the Pro Loco tradition evenings, and closes with the grand finale of honey cooking and beeswax workshops the following Saturday.
- Organiser
- Pro Loco of the village, with the support of the Comune, the Region, the provincial beekeepers’ association, the apiary companies of the area, the Pro Loco of neighbouring villages and the honey consortia that endorse the initiative.
The Festa del Miele — as it is organised across editions by the Pro Loco of the village that runs its programme — brings together individual beekeepers and apiary companies of the area, honey consortia and trade associations, schools and lower-secondary institutes, restaurateurs and agri-food chain companies, artisan workshops of beeswax candles and honey soaps, Pro Loco of neighbouring villages, delegations from twinned Pro Loco, third-sector bodies working with schools on environmental education, sponsors of local culture and agriculture, and a broad public of visitors who pass through the days between honey tastings, beekeeping equipment markets, school workshops, beekeeper round tables, honey prizes and local cooking.
For the beekeepers, the apiary companies, the honey consortia, the schools, the restaurateurs and the Pro Loco of the Festa del Miele, Corp-Merch.IT manages from its operating hub the full chain for the different audience categories: intake of the beekeeper’s, apiary company’s, consortium’s, school’s or Pro Loco’s master graphic files (AI, EPS, PDF/X-4 with CMYK images at 300 dpi, FOGRA39 colour profile for print, Pantone for textiles), adaptation for the different personalisation techniques (water-based screen printing on GOTS-certified organic cotton for the coordinated uniforms of the beekeepers on the sagra days, hot foil on FSC-certified paper for the Festa del Miele booklets, laser engraving on chestnut wood for the labels of the limited-edition honey jars, computerised embroidery on cotton and linen for the aprons of the territory’s cooking, sublimation printing on cotton for the public’s tote bags, UV printing on PVC for the workshop and prize signs), physical pre-production sample with Pantone colour map and technical sheet, production on Italian supply chains (Como textile for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Tuscan organic cotton for the public’s tote bags, Collodi wood for the labels and small decorative objects of the limited editions, Fabriano paper for the Festa del Miele booklets, Faenza ceramics for the tasting bowls, Maniago steel for the small metalwork, Empoli glass for the limited-edition jars, Padova for the technical paper of the limited-edition slipcases) and delivery to the Pro Loco warehouse, the church cloister or the Comune multi-purpose hall on slots confirmed by the sagra calendar.
Six audience segments, six distinct kits
Individual beekeepers and apiary companies bringing their honeys into the square look for coordinated uniforms for the sagra days (shirt in GOTS-certified organic cotton or cotton-linen blend with computerised embroidery of the apiary company name and the honey’s country of origin, coordinated apron for the tastings, sturdy fabric shopper, peaked cap for the peak hours of the sagra days), branded shoppers for the public of the days, limited-edition honey jars in coordinated packaging, small coordinated objects (magnets with the bees and flowers of the area, illustrated postcards of the bees and flowers of the area, enamel pins of the apiary companies). Schools and lower-secondary institutes bringing classes to the beekeeping workshops need educational kits of beekeeping (small booklets of the bees and flowers of the area, coordinated shopper, annotation notebooks), Festa del Miele booklets on FSC-certified paper, coordinated uniforms for the teachers. Restaurateurs and agri-food chain companies setting up the tasting stands want coordinated placemats, restaurateur’s fabric shoppers, small coordinated objects for the tastings. The artisan workshops of beeswax candles and honey soaps want limited editions of candles and soaps in packaging coordinated with the Festa del Miele graphic line. Twinned Pro Loco delegations want coordinated gift kits, limited-edition honey jars, packaging coordinated with the institutional colours of the host Pro Loco. Third-sector bodies working with schools on environmental education want coordinated gadgets for their environmental education days.
Why the Italian hub matters for the Festa del Miele
Most beekeepers, honey consortia and Pro Loco of the Festa del Miele coordinate their operations from their local seat, but launching a coordinated collection of beekeeper uniforms, public shoppers or limited-edition honey jars requires a district supply chain that our hub can orchestrate across the Italian territory. Como for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Scandicci for the leather of the territory’s cooking aprons, Maniago for the steel of the metalwork, Empoli for the glass of the limited-edition jars, Faenza for the ceramics of the tasting bowls, Padova for the technical paper of the slipcases, Fabriano for the paper of the Festa del Miele booklets, Collodi for the wood objects of the labels and the educational kits: the hub lets us consolidate the client’s graphic files, run a physical pre-production sample across Italian supply chains and dispatch the lot to the Pro Loco, the church cloister or the organising committee warehouse on a short courier window, twenty-four to forty-eight hours from the national territory. For programmes that involve a twinned Pro Loco delegation (twinning between the village’s Pro Loco and the Pro Loco of other Italian regions or other European countries) we manage bilingual materials (Italian and English at minimum) and, on request, full multilingual release with translations aligned with ISO 17100.
Festa del Miele merch calendar
The Festa del Miele window is spread out and must be planned with a calendar that includes the historic-centre set-up days opening the previous Friday, the Saturday ribbon-cutting, the Sunday and Monday sagra days, the beekeepers’ Tuesday round tables, the honey prizes on Wednesday, the Pro Loco tradition evenings on Thursday and the grand finale of honey cooking and beeswax workshops the following Saturday. For beekeepers, apiary companies and Pro Loco the gap between confirmation of the Festa del Miele graphic line and the opening of the sagra days is normally below ten weeks, and any object that must be at the Pro Loco rendezvous point, the church cloister or the organising committee warehouse by the first day must be closed and dispatched at least one week before opening. We work backwards from that moment: production must close two to three weeks before the ribbon-cutting; the courier slot must be booked for the Wednesday or Thursday of the sagra week; the addressee list must be finalised at the same time as the sagra-day calendar is confirmed; the specific edition details (year, edition number, bees and flowers of the area) only add a small reprint to an already-produced neutral graphic base.
