The Belluno Graphic Arts Festival — as it is organised in the different editions by the Pro Loco of the historic centre that curates its programme — brings together art publishers, art print studios and printers, illustrators and visual artists, graphic and typographic schools, art print laboratories and bookbinding workshops, specialised bookshops, art galleries and bookshops, cultural press and art critics, Pro Loco of the neighbouring villages, delegations of twinned Pro Loco, sponsors of the culture and the territory, and a broad audience of visitors who cross the days between art print purchases, print demonstrations, laboratories for the schools, round tables of the publishers, awards of the works and kitchens of the territory.
For the art publishers, the art print studios, the schools, the bookshops and the Pro Loco of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival, Corp-Merch.IT manages from its operational hub the complete chain for the different categories of audience: receipt of the master graphic files of the publisher, the art print studio, the school or the Pro Loco (AI, EPS, PDF/X-4 with CMYK images at 300 dpi, FOGRA39 colour profile for printing, Pantone for textiles), adaptation for the different personalisation techniques (water-based screen printing on GOTS-certified organic cotton for the coordinated uniforms of the publishers during the days of the festival, typographic printing on FSC-certified paper for the catalogues and booklets of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival, laser engraving on cirmolo wood for the matrices of the limited editions, computerised embroidery on cotton and linen for the aprons of the print laboratories, UV printing on PVC for the signs of the training days and the awards), physical pre-production sample with Pantone colour map and technical sheet, production on Italian supply chains (Como textile for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Tuscan organic cotton for the tote bags of the public, Cirmolo wood for the matrices and small decorative objects of the limited editions, Fabriano paper for the catalogues of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival, Faenza ceramics for the demonstration bowls, Maniago steel for the metal small parts, Empoli glass for the plates of the limited editions, Padova for the technical packaging of the limited-edition boxes) and delivery to the Pro Loco warehouse, the cloister of the Cathedral or the Biblioteca Civica on slots confirmed by the calendar of the festival.
Six audience segments, six distinct kits
Art publishers and art print studios that bring their xylographic and chalcographic matrices to the piazza seek coordinated uniforms for the days of the festival (GOTS-certified organic cotton shirt with computerised embroidery of the publisher name and the print studio name, coordinated apron for the print demonstrations, resistant fabric shopper, peaked cap for the peak hours of the festival days), branded shoppers for the public of the days, limited editions of art prints in coordinated tiratura with certificate of authenticity, small coordinated objects (magnets with the presses and matrices of the territory, illustrated postcards of the print studios of the territory, enamel pins of the print studio). Graphic and typographic schools that bring their students to the print laboratories of the festival need didactic kits of the art print (small booklets of the art print and the matrices of the territory, coordinated shopper, notebooks of the annotations), booklets of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival on FSC-certified paper, coordinated uniforms for the teachers. Specialised bookshops that join the showcases of the festival request coordinated shoppers for the public, bookmarks of the showcase on FSC-certified paper, coordinated window graphics for the partner bookshops, small branded stationery and thank-you postcards for readers. Art galleries and bookshops want limited editions of prints in coordinated packaging with the graphics of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival. Delegations of twinned Pro Loco request coordinated gift kits, limited-edition portfolio prints, packaging coordinated with the institutional colours of the host Pro Loco. Third-sector bodies that work with schools on art print education request coordinated gadgets for their art print education days.
Why the Italian hub matters for the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival
Most of the art publishers, the art print studios and the Pro Loco of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival coordinate their operations from their local offices, but the launch of a coordinated collection of uniforms for the publishers, of shoppers for the public of the days or of limited editions of art prints requires a district supply chain that our hub can orchestrate across the Italian territory. Como for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Scandicci for the leather of the aprons of the print laboratories, Maniago for the steel of the metal small parts, Empoli for the glass of the plates of the limited editions, Faenza for the ceramics of the demonstration bowls, Padova for the technical packaging of the boxes, Fabriano for the paper of the catalogues of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival, Cirmolo for the wooden objects of the matrices and the didactic kits: the hub enables consolidating the graphic files of the client, running a physical pre-production sample through Italian supply chains and shipping the batch to the Pro Loco, the cloister of the Cathedral or the Biblioteca Civica on a short courier window, twenty-four to forty-eight hours from the national territory. For programmes that involve a delegation of a twinned Pro Loco (twinning between the Pro Loco of Belluno and the Pro Loco of other Italian regions or other European countries) we manage bilingual materials (Italian and English at minimum) and, on request, full multilingual release with translations aligned with the ISO 17100 standard.
Merch calendar for the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival
The window of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival is spread and must be prepared with a calendar that includes the setup days of the historic centre that open the previous Friday, the ribbon cutting of Saturday, the festival days of Sunday and Monday, the print demonstrations of Tuesday, the round tables of the publishers of Wednesday, the awards of the works of Thursday, the evenings of the tradition of the Pro Loco of Friday and the great final day of the print demonstrations and the laboratories of the art print tradition of the following Saturday. For art publishers, art print studios and Pro Loco the gap between the confirmation of the graphics of the Belluno Graphic Arts Festival and the opening of the festival days is normally under ten weeks, and any object that has to be at the meeting point of the Pro Loco, at the cloister of the Cathedral or at the Biblioteca Civica for the first day must be closed and shipped at least one week before the opening. We work backwards from that moment: production must close two to three weeks before the ribbon cutting; the courier slot must be booked for the Wednesday or Thursday of the festival week; the addressee list must be finalised simultaneously with the confirmation of the calendar of the festival days; the specific details of the edition (year, edition number, presses and matrices of the territory) only add a small reprint to a neutral graphic base already produced.
For Italian clients with VAT number the invoice goes through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) of the Agenzia delle Entrate with 22% VAT applied in EUR; reduced 4%, 5% or 10% rates are available on the product categories that allow it (publishing, art objects, typical products of the local tradition). Reverse charge for intra-EU buyers registered with VIES, split payment for public administration bodies, recipient code or PEC for electronic invoice delivery. For clients subject to CSRD reporting (D.Lgs. 125/2024, transposing Directive (EU) 2022/2464) we provide a sustainability sheet per order with Scope 3 CO₂e estimate per the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain on internal legs and from the indicated production supply chains.
