The Festival dei Misteri di Campobasso — also known as I Misteri di Campobasso — is the great procession that each year, on the solemnity of Corpus Domini, brings the thirteen statue ensembles of the Misteri through the streets of the historic centre of the Molise capital, each one looked after by a local confraternity. The tradition, documented since the 16th century, was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013. For the confraternities carrying their Misteri in the procession, the pro loco and organising committees running the festival days, the schools attending the didactic visits, the artisan workshops building the statue ensembles and the tourist and food-and-wine sponsors of the festival, the volume of material to prepare is significant: coordinated apparel for the bearers and brothers, limited-edition historical prints and publications, totes and giveaways for the festival audience, gifts for twinned-city delegations, coordinated materials for the schools attending the visits.
For the confraternities, pro loco, organising committees, schools, artisan workshops and sponsors of the Festival dei Misteri di Campobasso, Corp-Merch.IT runs the full chain from its Italian operating hub: receipt of master artwork files from the confraternity, pro loco, school or workshop (AI, EPS, PDF/X-4 with CMYK images at 300 dpi, FOGRA39 colour profile for print, Pantone profile for textiles), adaptation for the various customisation techniques (water-based screen print on GOTS-certified organic cotton for bearer apparel and festival-audience totes, hot stamping on FSC-certified paper for historical procession booklets and confraternity cards, computerised embroidery on cotton and linen blends for coordinated confraternity apparel, laser engraving on national walnut wood for limited-edition Misteri prints, relief print on paper for limited-edition tags, hand print on amiantata or cotton cloth for confraternity pennants), physical pre-production sample with Pantone colour map and technical sheet, production on Italian supply chains (Como textiles for bearer cotton apparel, Collodi wood for print frames, Fabriano paper for historical booklets, Murano glass for coordinated festival objects, Maniago copper for limited-edition medals) and delivery to the historic church hosting the statue ensemble set-up, the confraternity headquarters, the pro loco running the guided tours, the school participating in the didactic days or the organising committee’s consolidation warehouse on slots confirmed by the Diocese of Campobasso-Boiano and the Comune di Campobasso.
Four audience tiers, four distinct kits
The confraternity carrying its Mistero in the Corpus Domini procession of Campobasso wants coordinated apparel for the bearers and brothers: GOTS-certified organic cotton shirt with computerised embroidery of the confraternity name, coordinated bearer sash, pennant in fabric with confraternity coat of arms, cotton totes for the brothers helping during the festival days, small coordinated items of the statue ensemble. The pro loco and organising committee running the festival days ask for branded totes for the festival audience, historical procession booklets in fine cartotecnica, coordinated stationery sets for the guided tours, coordinated giveaways for the Corpus Domini days. The school or historical-religious research group following the tradition asks for didactic booklets on FSC-certified paper, coordinated stationery sets for the guided tours, school-branded totes, identification badges for school groups, small coordinated items of the tradition. The tourist or food-and-wine sponsor of the festival asks for gifts for twinned-city delegations, coordinated giveaways for the Corpus Domini days, coordinated materials for the tastings and traditional markets of the Molise tradition.
Why the Italian hub matters for the Festival dei Misteri di Campobasso
Most confraternities, pro loco and schools that run a merch programme for the Festival dei Misteri di Campobasso coordinate their operations from their own reference base (Campobasso, Termoli, Isernia, other Molise towns), but launching a collection of coordinated bearer apparel, limited-edition Misteri prints or historical procession booklets requires a district supply chain that our hub can orchestrate on the ground. Como for textiles, Scandicci for small leather goods for coordinated apparel, Fabriano for historical booklet paper, Collodi for print frames, Murano for coordinated glass objects, Maniago for medal and pin metalwork: the hub lets us consolidate the buyer’s artwork files, run a physical pre-production sample through Italian supply chains and ship the lot to Campobasso on a short courier slot, twenty-four to forty-eight hours from Italian territory. For programmes involving a twinned-city delegation (twinning among Misteri festivals of different Italian cities that celebrate the Misteri tradition) we handle bilingual materials (Italian and English at minimum) and, on request, full multilingual release with ISO 17100-aligned translations.
Merchandise calendar for the Festival dei Misteri di Campobasso
The Festival dei Misteri window is concentrated and must be planned backwards from the Corpus Domini calendar: statue ensemble set-up days in the historic churches that open the previous Friday, the school guided-tour days, the historical conferences on the Misteri tradition, the general procession rehearsal and the great Corpus Domini procession that brings the thirteen statue ensembles through the streets of the historic centre of Campobasso. For confraternities and pro loco, the gap between graphic confirmation and the opening of the guided-tour days on Friday is usually less than ten weeks, and any item that must be at the historic church hosting the statue ensemble set-up, at the confraternity headquarters or at the pro loco warehouse for the first day must be closed and shipped at least one calendar week before the Corpus Domini days. We work backwards from that moment: production must close two-three weeks before the Festival dei Misteri days; the courier slot must be booked for the Wednesday or Thursday of the previous week; the addressee list must be finalised at the same time as the festival days’ calendar confirmation; edition-specific details (year, edition number, procession confraternities) add only a small reprint to an already-produced neutral graphic base.
