Trieste is the border city facing the northern Adriatic, a few tens of kilometres from Ljubljana and Vienna, and is a historical hub of Central-European classical music. The Trieste International Music Festival is the autumn season that every year between October and November offers a calendar of symphonic concerts, chamber recitals, opera performances, ballet, masterclasses, editorial presentations and composer meetings that run between the Teatro Verdi — the city's main theatre, inaugurated in 1801 — the Politeama Rossetti, the Sala Tripcovich, the Teatro Miela and the Cathedral of San Giusto. The event sits within the autumn calendar of the Italian North-East — alongside the Bolzano Festival, the Mittelfest of Cividale, the Pesaro Festival and the Arena di Verona calendar — and stands out for its Central-European vocation, which sees the participation of orchestras coming from Slovenia, Austria, Croatia and Hungary.
The calendar is dense and articulated: symphonic evenings with full orchestra, opera performances with international casts, voice and piano recitals, chamber-music concerts, ballet evenings with Central-European companies, masterclasses for young instrumentalists led by conservatory teachers and established soloists, composer meetings and gala evenings reserved for festival supporters. The Teatro Verdi is the historical venue for opera performances and the main symphonic concerts, the Politeama Rossetti hosts ballet and larger-scale opera productions, the Sala Tripcovich welcomes chamber concerts and masterclasses. The Cathedral of San Giusto is the traditional venue for sacred-music concerts. For corporate teams that wish to accompany the programme with their own merchandising — branded house programmes, Platinum/Gold/Silver gifts, numbered editions for the gala evening, kits for the orchestra musicians, kits for the pit — the planning opens in late spring because the Italian autumn theatre season concentrates a logistical and productive demand on the Triveneto districts and on the Northern-Italy production hubs between late September and late November.
The audience that rotates around the Festival is technical and international: classical-music enthusiasts coming from Trieste, Venice, Udine, Padua and Ljubljana, music lovers moving between the Central-European theatres of the autumn season, conservatory teachers, musicians and conductors rotating between the sister festivals of the North-East, and of course the corporate sponsors, banking foundations and public institutions (Regione Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Comune di Trieste, Prefettura di Trieste, Camera di Commercio della Venezia Giulia) that support the programme. For teams that want a continuous presence also in Ljubljana, in Vienna or in Salzburg we replicate the service across the other weeks of the season and set up an annual supply contract with dedicated volume rates and with Italian/German or Italian/Slovenian bilingual handling where requested.
From the Milan hub, Corp-Merch.IT runs the full cycle: kick-off with the marketing office of the Teatro Verdi di Trieste or with the sponsor's marketing lead, graphic adaptation, producer qualification at the district level (Capannori for house programmes and booklets, Faenza for ceramics inspired by the repertoire, Scandicci for small leather goods, Como for foulards and pocket squares, Maniago for blades, Murano glass for limited editions), physical pre-production sample with Pantone map and technical test on each substrate, and a structured proposal within 48 business hours of the brief. For programmes that replicate the Festival across multiple years or that also involve the Teatro Verdi's winter opera calendar we set up an annual supply contract with dedicated volume rates.
