The Civitavecchia Poetry Festival — as it is organised in the different editions by the Pro Loco of the historic centre that curates its programme — brings together Italian and international poets, poetry and literature publishers, independent bookshops of the Lazio coast, schools and high schools, cultural centres and literary foundations, cultural press and literary critics, literary translators, Pro Loco of the neighbouring villages, delegations of twinned Pro Loco, sponsors of the culture of the territory, and a broad audience of visitors who cross the days between purchases of plaquette and collections, poetry performances, laboratories for the schools, round tables of the publishers, awards of the works and kitchens of the territory.
For the poets, the poetry publishers, the schools, the bookshops and the Pro Loco of the Civitavecchia Poetry Festival, Corp-Merch.IT manages from its operational hub the complete chain for the different categories of audience: receipt of the master graphic files of the poet, the poetry publisher, the school or the Pro Loco (AI, EPS, PDF/X-4 with CMYK images at 300 dpi, FOGRA39 colour profile for printing, Pantone for textiles), adaptation for the different personalisation techniques (water-based screen printing on GOTS-certified organic cotton for the coordinated uniforms of the poets during the days of the festival, typographic printing on FSC-certified paper for the plaquette and booklets of the Poetry Festival, laser engraving on walnut wood for the labels of the limited editions of the poetry collections, computerised embroidery on cotton and linen for the aprons of the poetry performances, UV printing on PVC for the signs of the reading days and the awards), physical pre-production sample with Pantone colour map and technical sheet, production on Italian supply chains (Como textile for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Tuscan organic cotton for the tote bags of the public, Collodi wood for the labels and small decorative objects of the limited editions, Fabriano paper for the plaquette of the Poetry Festival, Viterbo ceramics for the performance bowls, Maniago steel for the metal small parts, Empoli glass for the plates of the limited editions, Padova for the technical packaging of the limited-edition boxes) and delivery to the Pro Loco warehouse, the cloister of the Chiesa della Stella or the Biblioteca Comunale on slots confirmed by the calendar of the festival.
Six audience segments, six distinct kits
Individual poets and poetry collectives who read their collections during the festival days seek coordinated uniforms for the days of the festival (GOTS-certified organic cotton shirt with computerised embroidery of the poet name and the collection title, resistant fabric shopper, peaked cap for the peak hours of the festival days), branded shoppers for the public of the days, limited editions of plaquette of the festival on FSC-certified paper, small coordinated objects (magnets with the verses and landscapes of the Lazio coast, illustrated postcards of the poets of the territory, enamel pins of the presented collections). Schools and high schools that bring their students to the poetic writing laboratories of the festival need didactic kits of the poetry (small booklets of the poetry and the poets of the territory, coordinated shopper, notebooks of the annotations), booklets of the Poetry Festival on FSC-certified paper, coordinated uniforms for the teachers. Independent bookshops that join the showcases of the festival request coordinated shoppers for the public, bookmarks of the showcase on FSC-certified paper, coordinated window graphics for the partner bookshops, small branded stationery and thank-you postcards for readers. Cultural centres and literary foundations want limited editions of plaquette in coordinated packaging with the graphics of the Poetry Festival. Delegations of twinned Pro Loco request coordinated gift kits, limited-edition plaquette, packaging coordinated with the institutional colours of the host Pro Loco. Third-sector bodies that work with schools on poetry education request coordinated gadgets for their poetry education days.
Why the Italian hub matters for the Civitavecchia Poetry Festival
Most of the poets, the poetry publishers and the Pro Loco of the Civitavecchia Poetry Festival coordinate their operations from their local offices, but the launch of a coordinated collection of uniforms for the poets, of shoppers for the public of the days or of limited editions of plaquette requires a district supply chain that our hub can orchestrate across the Italian territory. Como for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Scandicci for the leather of the aprons of the poetry performances, Maniago for the steel of the metal small parts, Empoli for the glass of the plates of the limited editions, Viterbo for the ceramics of the performance bowls, Padova for the technical packaging of the boxes, Fabriano for the paper of the plaquette of the Poetry Festival, Collodi for the wooden objects of the labels and the didactic kits: the hub enables consolidating the graphic files of the client, running a physical pre-production sample through Italian supply chains and shipping the batch to the Pro Loco, the cloister of the Chiesa della Stella or the Biblioteca Comunale on a short courier window, twenty-four to forty-eight hours from the national territory. For programmes that involve a delegation of a twinned Pro Loco (twinning between the Pro Loco of Civitavecchia and the Pro Loco of other Italian regions or other European countries) we manage bilingual materials (Italian and English at minimum) and, on request, full multilingual release with translations aligned with the ISO 17100 standard.
Merch calendar for the Civitavecchia Poetry Festival
The window of the Civitavecchia Poetry Festival is spread and must be prepared with a calendar that includes the setup days of the historic centre that open the previous Friday, the ribbon cutting of Saturday, the festival days of Sunday and Monday, the translation days of Tuesday, the round tables of the publishers of Wednesday, the poetry performances of Thursday, the evenings of the tradition of the Pro Loco of Friday and the great final day of the collective poetry reading and the laboratories of the poetic tradition of the following Saturday. For poets, poetry publishers and Pro Loco the gap between the confirmation of the graphics of the Civitavecchia Poetry Festival and the opening of the festival days is normally under ten weeks, and any object that has to be at the meeting point of the Pro Loco, at the cloister of the Chiesa della Stella or at the Biblioteca Comunale for the first day must be closed and shipped at least one week before the opening. We work backwards from that moment: production must close two to three weeks before the ribbon cutting; the courier slot must be booked for the Wednesday or Thursday of the festival week; the addressee list must be finalised simultaneously with the confirmation of the calendar of the festival days; the specific details of the edition (year, edition number, verses and landscapes of the Lazio coast) only add a small reprint to a neutral graphic base already produced.
For Italian clients with VAT number the invoice goes through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) of the Agenzia delle Entrate with 22% VAT applied in EUR; reduced 4%, 5% or 10% rates are available on the product categories that allow it (publishing, art objects, typical products of the local tradition). Reverse charge for intra-EU buyers registered with VIES, split payment for public administration bodies, recipient code or PEC for electronic invoice delivery. For clients subject to CSRD reporting (D.Lgs. 125/2024, transposing Directive (EU) 2022/2464) we provide a sustainability sheet per order with Scope 3 CO₂e estimate per the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain on internal legs and from the indicated production supply chains.
