The Tuscan Wine Harvest Festival — wine showcase held every year in Tuscany since 1997 — runs a calendar of vineyard dinners, guided tastings at the wineries, tasting routes at the estates, vintage previews, focused sections on a denomination or a Tuscan grape variety, a section dedicated to emerging wines under 10, a specific section for certified organic and biodynamic wines, and a specific attention to new vinification practices, vineyard management and the role of the consortia of protection. The showcase brings to Tuscany international buyers, distributors, sommeliers, wine shop directors, wine magazine directors, wine sales agents, critics, columnists, private and institutional collectors that work on the Tuscan, Italian and European wine axis.
For Tuscan wineries participating in the showcase, the DOCG consortia (Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Bolgheri), Ho.Re.Ca. distributors managing the on-trade and off-trade channel, Italian and international sommeliers associations, editorial desks of trade and consumer wine publications, critics’ desks, international buyers on tour, delegations from international wine clubs, institutional sponsors (Regione Toscana, Toscana Promozione Turistica, Fondazione Sistema Toscana) and corporate sponsors, organisers of the collateral sections that work at the Tuscan Wine Harvest Festival, Corp-Merch.IT coordinates from its Milan operational hub a tailor-made programme that opens with the reception of the winery’s, consortium’s, distributor’s or sponsor’s graphic files, continues with the adaptation for the various customisation techniques (water-based screen print on GOTS-certified organic cotton for vineyard-dinner shoppers, hot foil stamping on FSC-certified paper for press kits and catalogue booklets, computerised embroidery for premium tote bags, laser engraving on oak wood or steel for high-end welcome bags, certified fine-art print on Hahnemühle paper for author labels of limited editions) and ends with the physical pre-production sample, the AQL 2.5 quality control and the delivery to the winery, the buyer’s hotel, the press desk, the denomination consortium or the institutional venue of the showcase. For editorial materials and personalised cases destined to collectors we work with partners specialised in climate-controlled transport, so that catalogues, tasting dossiers and author’s cases arrive in impeccable condition despite the autumn Tuscan climate.
Invoicing for entities with an Italian VAT number goes out in EUR with 22% VAT through the Exchange System (SdI) of the Agenzia delle Entrate, delivery to the recipient code or certified email provided by the buyer. For editorial catalogues and art materials the reduced VAT rate of 10% applies, for books and art publications the 5%, according to current regulations. Reverse charge for intra-EU buyers registered in the VIES, split payment for public administration entities, recipient code or certified email for electronic invoice delivery. For clients subject to CSRD reporting (D.Lgs. 125/2024, transposing Directive (EU) 2022/2464) we provide a sustainability sheet per order with Scope 3 CO₂e estimate under the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain on internal routes and from the production supply chains stated, in line with ESRS E1, E5 and S2.
Festival calendar and Tuscany logistics
The festival calendar falls between September and October and the position of the Tuscan wineries, scattered across the Chianti, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bolgheri and Maremma hills, conditions the last-mile logistics: direct deliveries to the wineries, estates, castles and the circuit venues must be coordinated with the loading windows published by the festival production and the host winery; a buffer at a partner hotel in the centre (Hotel Laticastelli, Hotel Borgo San Felice, Hotel Castello di Casole, Hotel Castello di Velona, Hotel Le Fontanelle, Hotel Adler Thermae) or at our Milan hub reduces the risk of out-of-window delivery. Late-summer motorway traffic on the A1 Milan – Rome, on the Florence-Siena link and on the Cassia Vetus (SR2) conditions deliveries, and in coincidence with the summer closures of wine businesses (the first days of September are historically a reopening moment) routes to the Tuscan hills may register delays; it is often useful to pair venue delivery with a buffer at an affiliate hotel in the centre of Florence, Siena or Pienza, a proximity warehouse in the Chianti Classico area and a second delivery to the winery within the official set-up window, once the production has confirmed the recipient, the gate and the pass. For programmes that span multiple operational venues (Chianti Classico wineries, Montalcino wineries, Montepulciano wineries, Bolgheri wineries, institutional venues of the denominations) we prepare separate packing lists for each destination with dedicated labelling of the on-site contact and a per-tasting calendar.
