Merchandising for wineries, wine consortia and Pro Loco of the Piedmont Wine Festival
- Dates
- Traditionally between September and October, with events spread across the entire regional territory (September: Asti and Monferrato, Alba and Langhe, Gavi and Novi Ligure, Roero; October: Gattinara, Ghemme, Boca, Fara, Lessona). Specific dates are published on the calendar of the Piedmont Region, the Enoteca Regionale del Piemonte, Vignaioli Piemontesi, the Wine Roads and the Pro Loco before the edition.
- Venue
- Historic centre of the village that hosts the wine day: main piazza, cloister of the parish church or of the historic ricetto, loggias of the town hall, multipurpose hall for the schools' laboratories, council chamber for the round tables. The arrangement of the stands follows the traditional Piedmontese wine festival circuit with wineries along the main street, tastings in the piazza, schools in the internal halls, awards on the stage of the piazza.
- General calendar
- The Piedmontese wine calendar opens with the days of Asti, continues with the Douja d'Or, the Barbera days, the Barolo days at La Morra, the Barbaresco days, the Merano Wine Fest, the evenings of the tradition of the Pro Loco, and closes with the great final day of the wine kitchens and the laboratories of the Piedmontese wine tradition.
- Organiser
- Pro Loco of the village, with the support of the Piedmont Region, the relevant Chamber of Commerce, the Enoteca Regionale del Piemonte, Vignaioli Piemontesi, the wineries of the territory, the Pro Loco of the neighbouring villages and the wine consortia that sponsor the initiative.
The Piedmont Wine Festival — as it is organised in the different editions by the Pro Loco of the village that curates its programme — brings together individual wineries and local wine estates, wine consortia and trade associations (FIVI, Vignaioli Piemontesi, AIS Piemonte), hotel schools and professional institutes, restaurateurs and companies of the agri-food chain, artisan workshops of blown glass and Albisola ceramics, Pro Loco of the neighbouring villages, delegations of twinned Pro Loco, third-sector bodies that work with schools on wine education, sponsors of the culture and agriculture of the territory, and a broad audience of visitors who cross the days between wine tastings, oenological equipment markets, laboratories for the schools, round tables of the wineries, awards of the wines and kitchens of the Piedmontese territory.
For the wineries, the wine consortia, the schools, the restaurateurs and the Pro Loco of the Piedmont Wine Festival, Corp-Merch.IT manages from its operational hub the complete chain for the different categories of audience: receipt of the master graphic files of the winery, the consortium, the school or the Pro Loco (AI, EPS, PDF/X-4 with CMYK images at 300 dpi, FOGRA39 colour profile for printing, Pantone for textiles), adaptation for the different personalisation techniques (water-based screen printing on GOTS-certified organic cotton for the coordinated uniforms of the wineries during the days of the festival, hot stamping on FSC-certified paper for the booklets of the Piedmont Wine Festival, laser engraving on walnut wood for the labels of the limited editions of the bottles, computerised embroidery on cotton and linen for the aprons of the territory kitchens, sublimation printing on cotton for the tote bags of the public of the days, UV printing on PVC for the signs of the training days and the awards), physical pre-production sample with Pantone colour map and technical sheet, production on Italian supply chains (Como textile for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Tuscan organic cotton for the tote bags of the public, Collodi wood for the labels and small decorative objects of the limited editions, Fabriano paper for the booklets of the Piedmont Wine Festival, Albisola ceramics for the tasting bowls, Maniago steel for the metal small parts, Empoli glass for the bottles of the limited editions, Padova for the technical packaging of the limited-edition boxes) and delivery to the Pro Loco warehouse, the cloister of the church or the multipurpose hall of the Municipality on slots confirmed by the calendar of the festival.
Six audience segments, six distinct kits
Individual wineries and wine estates that bring their great Piedmontese wines to the piazza seek coordinated uniforms for the days of the festival (GOTS-certified organic cotton shirt with computerised embroidery of the winery name and the appellation of origin of the wine, coordinated apron for the tastings, resistant fabric shopper, peaked cap for the peak hours of the festival days), branded shoppers for the public of the days, limited editions of wine bottles in coordinated packaging, small coordinated objects (magnets with the vines and landscapes of the Langhe and Monferrato, illustrated postcards of the wineries of the territory, enamel pins of the wineries). Hotel schools and professional institutes that bring their students to the oenology laboratories of the territory need didactic kits of the oenology of the Piedmontese territory (small booklets of the wine and the Piedmontese vines, coordinated shopper, notebooks of the annotations), booklets of the Piedmont Wine Festival on FSC-certified paper, coordinated uniforms for the teachers. Restaurateurs and agri-food companies that set up the tasting stands request coordinated placemats, restaurant fabric shoppers, small coordinated objects for the tastings. Artisan workshops of blown glass and Albisola ceramics want limited editions of glass and ceramic objects in coordinated packaging with the graphics of the Piedmont Wine Festival. Delegations of twinned Pro Loco request coordinated gift kits, limited-edition wine packages, packaging coordinated with the institutional colours of the host Pro Loco. Third-sector bodies that work with schools on wine education request coordinated gadgets for their Piedmontese wine education days.
Why the Italian hub matters for the Piedmont Wine Festival
Most of the wineries, the wine consortia and the Pro Loco of the Piedmont Wine Festival coordinate their operations from their local offices, but the launch of a coordinated collection of uniforms for the wineries, of shoppers for the public of the days or of limited editions of wine bottles requires a district supply chain that our hub can orchestrate across the Italian territory. Como for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Scandicci for the leather of the aprons of the territory kitchens, Maniago for the steel of the metal small parts, Empoli for the glass of the bottles of the limited editions, Albisola for the ceramics of the tasting bowls, Padova for the technical packaging of the boxes, Fabriano for the paper of the booklets of the Piedmont Wine Festival, Collodi for the wooden objects of the labels and the didactic kits: the hub enables consolidating the graphic files of the client, running a physical pre-production sample through Italian supply chains and shipping the batch to the Pro Loco, the cloister of the church or the warehouse of the organising committee on a short courier window, twenty-four to forty-eight hours from the national territory. For programmes that involve a delegation of a twinned Pro Loco (twinning between the Pro Loco of the village and the Pro Loco of other Italian regions or other European countries) we manage bilingual materials (Italian and English at minimum) and, on request, full multilingual release with translations aligned with the ISO 17100 standard.
Merch calendar for the Piedmont Wine Festival
The window of the Piedmont Wine Festival is spread and must be prepared with a calendar that includes the setup days of the historic centre that open the previous Friday, the ribbon cutting of Saturday, the festival days of Sunday and Monday, the round tables of the wineries of Tuesday, the awards of the wines of Wednesday, the evenings of the tradition of the Pro Loco of Thursday and the great final day of the wine kitchens and the laboratories of the wine tradition of the following Saturday. For wineries, wine estates and Pro Loco the gap between the confirmation of the graphics of the Piedmont Wine Festival and the opening of the festival days is normally under ten weeks, and any object that has to be at the meeting point of the Pro Loco, at the cloister of the church or at the warehouse of the organising committee for the first day must be closed and shipped at least one week before the opening. We work backwards from that moment: production must close two to three weeks before the ribbon cutting; the courier slot must be booked for the Wednesday or Thursday of the festival week; the addressee list must be finalised simultaneously with the confirmation of the calendar of the festival days; the specific details of the edition (year, edition number, vines and landscapes of the Langhe and Monferrato) only add a small reprint to a neutral graphic base already produced.
For Italian clients with VAT number the invoice goes through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) of the Agenzia delle Entrate with 22% VAT applied in EUR; reduced 4%, 5% or 10% rates are available on the product categories that allow it (publishing, art objects, typical products of the local tradition). Reverse charge for intra-EU buyers registered with VIES, split payment for public administration bodies, recipient code or PEC for electronic invoice delivery. For clients subject to CSRD reporting (D.Lgs. 125/2024, transposing Directive (EU) 2022/2464) we provide a sustainability sheet per order with Scope 3 CO₂e estimate per the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain on internal legs and from the indicated production supply chains.
