- Organiser
- KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey), with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Economy, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the Italian ICE Trade Agency, the Italo-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and the Italian production districts that participate with collectives.
KOSGEB Istanbul — as it is organised in the different editions by the KOSGEB agency that curates its programme — brings together Italian SMEs that wish to start productive partnerships with Turkish SMEs, trade promotion agencies that accompany Italian SMEs (ICE Trade Agency, Confindustria, CNA, Confartigianato, Unioncamere, Italo-Turkish Chamber of Commerce), Italo-Turkish chambers of commerce that organise B2B meetings, Italian production districts that bring a collective of companies, corporate sponsors of the event, Italian technology poles and universities that participate with open innovation projects, Italian start-ups selected for the Italian pavilion, translators and interpreters, and an international B2B audience of Turkish buyers, Middle East distributors, Balkan and Caucasian delegations.
For Italian SMEs, trade promotion agencies, Italo-Turkish chambers of commerce, Italian production districts and sponsors of the event, Corp-Merch.IT manages from its operational hub the complete chain for the different categories of audience: receipt of the master graphic files of the SME, the trade promotion agency, the chamber of commerce or the sponsor (AI, EPS, PDF/X-4 with CMYK images at 300 dpi, FOGRA39 colour profile for printing, Pantone for textiles), adaptation for the different personalisation techniques (water-based screen printing on GOTS-certified organic cotton for the coordinated uniforms of the Italian pavilion during the three days of the event, hot stamping on FSC-certified paper for the booklets of the Italian pavilion, laser engraving on steel for the labels of the limited editions of objects, computerised embroidery on cotton for the aprons of the tasting stands, sublimation printing on cotton for the tote bags of the stand public, UV printing on PVC for the signs of the stand and the B2B meeting halls), physical pre-production sample with Pantone colour map and technical sheet, production on Italian supply chains (Como textile for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Tuscan organic cotton for the tote bags of the public, Maniago steel for the metal small parts, Empoli glass for the plates of the limited editions, Padova for the technical packaging of the limited-edition boxes, Fabriano paper for the booklets of the Italian pavilion) and delivery to the SME warehouse, the Italian pavilion stand at the IFM or the delegation hotel in Istanbul on slots confirmed by the calendar of the event.
Six audience segments, six distinct kits
Italian SMEs that participate with their own stand at the KOSGEB event seek coordinated uniforms for the three days of the event (GOTS-certified organic cotton shirt with computerised embroidery of the SME name and the country of origin of the product, resistant fabric shopper, peaked cap for the peak hours of the stand), branded shoppers for the stand public, limited editions of objects in coordinated packaging with the internationalisation programme, small coordinated objects (magnets with the logos of the SMEs, illustrated postcards of the Italian products, enamel pins of the SMEs). Trade promotion agencies that accompany Italian SMEs need coordinated uniforms for the agency team (shirt with embroidery of the agency name, coordinated shopper), booklets of the Italian pavilion on FSC-certified paper, welcome kits for profiled buyers. Italo-Turkish chambers of commerce that organise B2B meetings request coordinated shoppers for the meetings public, coordinated badges for the participants, meeting folders in technical packaging, small branded stationery. Italian production districts that bring a collective of companies want limited editions of objects in coordinated packaging with the collective graphics. Corporate sponsors of the event request coordinated gift kits for the conference speakers, packaging coordinated with the institutional colours of the sponsor. Italian technology poles and universities that participate with open innovation projects request coordinated gadgets for their pitch sessions.
Why the Italian hub matters for KOSGEB Istanbul
Most of the Italian SMEs, the trade promotion agencies and the Italo-Turkish chambers of commerce of KOSGEB Istanbul coordinate their operations from their Italian offices, but the launch of a coordinated collection of uniforms for the Italian pavilion, of shoppers for the stand public or of limited editions of objects requires a district supply chain that our hub can orchestrate across the Italian territory. Como for the cotton of the coordinated uniforms, Scandicci for the leather of the aprons of the tasting stands, Maniago for the steel of the metal small parts, Empoli for the glass of the plates of the limited editions, Padova for the technical packaging of the boxes, Fabriano for the paper of the booklets of the Italian pavilion: the hub enables consolidating the graphic files of the client, running a physical pre-production sample through Italian supply chains and shipping the batch to the SME warehouse, the Italian pavilion stand at the IFM or the delegation hotel in Istanbul on a short courier window, forty-eight to seventy-two hours from the national territory via international express courier (DHL Express, FedEx, UPS, BRT International). For programmes that involve a delegation of a Turkish or Balkan SME we manage bilingual materials (Italian and English at minimum, plus Turkish if relevant) and, on request, full multilingual release with translations aligned with the ISO 17100 standard.
Merch calendar for KOSGEB Istanbul
The window of KOSGEB Istanbul is concentrated (three days) and must be prepared with a calendar that includes the production weeks on Italian supply chains, the international same-day shipping two weeks before the opening, the arrival at the SME warehouse or the delegation hotel in Istanbul at least five working days before the opening, the telephone briefing with the contact of the Italian pavilion stand two days before the opening. For SMEs, trade promotion agencies and Italo-Turkish chambers of commerce the gap between the confirmation of the graphics and the opening of the stand is normally under eight weeks, and any object that has to be at the Italian pavilion stand at the IFM for the first day must be closed and shipped at least two weeks before the opening via international express courier. We work backwards from that moment: production must close three weeks before the opening; the international express courier slot must be booked for two weeks before the opening; the addressee list must be finalised simultaneously with the confirmation of the calendar of the three days of the event; the specific details of the edition (year, edition number, logos of the SMEs participating in the Italian pavilion) only add a small reprint to a neutral graphic base already produced.
For Italian clients with VAT number the invoice goes through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) of the Agenzia delle Entrate with 22% VAT applied in EUR; reduced 4%, 5% or 10% rates are available on the product categories that allow it (publishing, art objects, typical products of the local tradition). Reverse charge for intra-EU buyers registered with VIES, split payment for public administration bodies, recipient code or PEC for electronic invoice delivery. For clients subject to CSRD reporting (D.Lgs. 125/2024, transposing Directive (EU) 2022/2464) we provide a sustainability sheet per order with Scope 3 CO₂e estimate per the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain on internal legs and on the international legs to Turkey from the indicated production supply chains.
