July · Lake Revine (Treviso)
For independent filmmakers, short film producers, animation directors, indie distributors, film school students, trade press and sponsors attending the Lago Film Fest on the shores of Lake Revine in the province of Treviso: screening kits, delegation gifts, open-air cinema materials, branded accreditation passes and welcome packs delivered in time for the festival evenings.
The Lago Film Fest — organised by the Associazione Lago Film Fest on the shores of Lake Revine with the support of Regione Veneto, the Province of Treviso and the Comuni of Revine Lago and Tarzo — is the independent film festival that every year in the last week of July brings to the lake areas dozens of short film and animation directors, indie distributors, film schools, debut filmmakers, Italian and European producers, trade press and an audience of cinephiles and summer visitors. The edition unfolds over five to six days with evening screenings on a giant open-air screen on the lake beach, morning director encounters, professional panels, a short film rights market, an animation competition and an international short film competition. For filmmakers, short film producers and animation directors participating with their own work, the calendar is packed and the recipients are heterogeneous: cinephile audiences attending the evenings, international jury, partner festival selectors, short film distributors, film schools, trade press, festival sponsors.
The cinephile attending the lake beach evenings looks for a coordinated festival keepsake: reusable cotton tote, pen, festival bookmark usable after the event. The international jury evaluating the competing short films needs curated, portable pieces: leather folder, agenda, pen, accreditation badge. The partner festival selector (Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, Tampere, Uppsala Short Film Festival, Dresdner Filmfest, Winterthur) following the short film market needs bilingual catalogues (Italian and English as a minimum), folders for collecting sheets, technical sheets of competing films. The film school student (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Accademia di Belle Arti Venezia, Università Ca’ Foscari) attending screenings and panels needs functional gear: tote bag, notebook, pen, water bottle. The sponsor running side events expects coordinated, curated materials for their own guests.
For a merchandising programme around the Lago Film Fest, our operational hub runs the full chain. We intake the filmmaker’s or producer’s master artwork (AI, EPS, PDF/X-4 with CMYK images at 300 dpi, FOGRA39 colour profile) and adapt it to the different customisation techniques: water-based screen-printing on GOTS-certified organic cotton for tote bags and sweatshirts, hot-foil stamping on FSC-certified paper for programmes and film sheets, laser engraving on Scandicci small leather goods for directors’ and jury folders, relief printing on paper for short film catalogue covers, laser marking on Maniago stainless steel for key-rings and small accessories. The pre-production physical sample with Pantone colour map and technical sheet travels through Italian supply chains (Scandicci leather, Maniago steel, Fabriano paper for author prints, Collodi wood for small objects) and the delivery reaches a local hotel (Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto, Treviso centre), the producer’s office, or a consolidation warehouse, on slots confirmed by the filmmaker’s contact.
Most filmmakers and short film producers running a merch programme around the Lago Film Fest coordinate their Italian operations from Venice, Treviso, Rome or Milan. The Veneto hub — with consolidation warehouses in the Treviso, Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto areas — lets us receive artwork files from the filmmaker team, run the pre-production sample through Italian supply chains and ship the batch to the Lake Revine area or the delegation’s reference hotel on a tight 24-hour courier window from Veneto. For programmes pairing an Italian filmmaker with a European co-producer we handle bilingual materials (Italian and English as a minimum) and, on request, full multilingual releases with translations aligned to ISO 17100. For programmes pairing the Lago Film Fest with the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, the Torino Film Festival or the Pesaro Film Festival we replicate the logistics across both dates with a single operational contact.
The Lago Film Fest window is concentrated but the merch programme has to be planned against a calendar that includes set-up days opening the previous Tuesday, professional mornings on Wednesday and Thursday, evening screenings on the lake beach on Friday and Saturday, morning director encounters, afternoon short film market panels, and Sunday-evening awards for the Animation and International Short Film Competition sections. For filmmakers and producers the gap between selection confirmation and the opening of the giant beach screen is often less than eight weeks. Any object that has to be at the premiere, the press conference or the delegation hotel for the first evening must be closed and shipped at least one week before opening.
FSC-certified paper programmes with hot-foil stamping, hard-cover short film catalogues, bilingual film sheets (Italian and English), branded agendas for the press and the jury.
Cotton canvas bags with water-based serigraphy, reusable shoppers for the beach evenings, Maniago stainless steel water bottles, multi-use cloths, small coordinated stationery.
Scandicci leather folders with discreet brand engraving, FSC-certified paper agendas, metal or wood ballpoint pens, technical sheets of competing films, small coordinated stationery.
Branded cabin-size trolleys, beauty cases, leather document pouches, bilingual agendas, catalogues for the season’s short film acquisition plan.
Before kicking off production, master artwork, quantities per filmmaker and recipient, packaging and named recipients must be locked. The final delivery address is fixed against the filmmaker’s production director or logistics contact: the Lake Revine area (Revine Lago, Tarzo), the delegation’s reference hotel (Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto, Treviso centre), the producer’s warehouse in the Treviso or Venice area, or the Milan producer’s office for storage materials. Access constraints in the lake area and on the provincial road network shape the loading slots, which is why most teams opt for early-morning or post-20:00 deliveries, when commercial vehicles are again admitted to the central areas of the lakeside villages.
For an Italian programme routed via Veneto, deliveries are consolidated at the hub and shipped to the lake area or the hotel with 24-hour windows via BRT, SDA, GLS or DHL Express Italy, on appointment for venues that require phone pre-notice. For programmes above 1,000 pieces we propose appointment delivery with phone pre-notice and, on request, on-site installation by our staff at the festival’s welcome area or information point. For materials that require controlled environmental conditions (FSC-certified paper, catalogues, small leather goods) we coordinate temperature-controlled transport with specialised partners. For kits bound for international delegations we handle multilingual labelling (Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Arabic) and tamper-evident pouch packaging with bilingual packing lists addressed to the recipient. For clients subject to CSRD reporting (D.Lgs. 125/2024 transposing Directive (EU) 2022/2464) we attach a per-order sustainability sheet with Scope 3 CO₂e estimate per the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain on the Lombardy–Veneto leg.
All Italian B2B orders are invoiced in EUR at the standard 22% VAT rate (with reduced rates of 4%, 5% and 10% applied where the product category allows: publishing, works of art, protected-designation products) and routed through the Agenzia delle Entrate’s Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) to the recipient code or the buyer’s PEC address. Corp-Merch.IT is an Italian VAT-registered entity, listed on VIES for intra-EU transactions, and handles reverse charge, split payment and public administration self-billing under current Italian rules.
Eight to ten weeks is the safest window for production on Italian supply chains and delivery to the delegation’s reference hotel or the producer’s warehouse in the Treviso area. Six to seven weeks works when the product mix is simple, the short film’s or filmmaker’s artwork is already approved and quantities are already defined. For filmmakers pairing the Lago Film Fest with Clermont-Ferrand or the Torino Film Festival we replicate the batches across both dates with a single operational contact.
Yes, but with precise limits. The Lago Film Fest Association indicates the set-up window, the loading lane and the named recipient. Most teams combine the lake area with a hotel in Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto or Treviso, or with a consolidation warehouse in the Treviso area. For Friday and Saturday evenings we propose delivery to the delegation’s reference hotel with 24-hour phone pre-notice.
Yes. For programmes covering multiple short films by the same filmmaker or multiple filmmakers from the same production we separate into batches labelled per title and per recipient, with distinct delivery addresses if the filmmakers are based in different cities. For programmes combining Italian filmmakers and European co-producers we replicate the logistics on both production sides.
