For eyewear brands, licensees, luxury maisons, opticians, lens labs and international buyers attending MIDO Milano at Fiera Milano Rho: branded optical packaging, cases, lens microfibre, welcome kits for international delegations, agendas and technical giveaways with dedicated logistics to the Rho-Fiera hub.
MIDO — Milano Eyewear Show — is the reference global trade fair for the eyewear industry, organised by MIDO S.r.l. with the support of ANFAO (the Italian National Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers) each year at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho, along the Strada Statale Sempione. Over three days the eyewear industry gathers across halls 1, 3, 4 and 6: major luxury groups, licensees, lens makers, machinery and packaging suppliers. It is the moment when spring-summer and autumn-winter collections are presented to independent opticians, chains, department stores, concept-store buyers, specialised e-commerce platforms and trade press from around the world.
For eyewear brands that exhibit at MIDO, branded merch has to address a very specific crowd: a B2B buyer who compares dozens of collections, opticians who return year after year, international distributors who decide the season's purchasing plan. The materials must survive air transit, hall lights and the everyday use in optical retail. The perceived quality of packaging and accessories becomes a signal of consistency with brand positioning — especially for maisons working the luxury or premium segment.
Corp-Merch.IT works with Italian and international eyewear brands that range from major groups (EssilorLuxottica, Safilo, Marcolin, De Rigo, Allison, Bormioli Luigi for glass cases, Barberini for lenses) to luxury maisons with eyewear licences, independent labels entering MIDO to position their collection, optical packaging makers, accessory distributors and lens labs. For each we propose a combination of cases, microfibre, decision folders, hard-cover catalogues, branded boxes and welcome kits consistent with the price tier and the distribution channel.
The MIDO audience is heavily professional: independent opticians, chains (GrandVision Italy, VisionOttica, Vision Group Italia, Ottici Associati), department stores, e-commerce platforms (Lenskart, SmartBuyGlasses, EyeBuyDirect), concept-store buyers, area distributors, trade press (OtticalMagazine, Punto Ottico, MidoMagazine), eyewear KOLs and corporate-gift buyers. The merch has to be tuned to a person who sees premium packaging all year: it means materials that speak the same language as the products on display, not generic gadgets that would make the brand look out of place.
Hard cases in recycled PU, foldable neoprene cases, magnetic boxes wrapped in FSC paper, branded microfibre pouches with sublimation print or tone-on-tone embroidery.
Premium microfibre cloths, lens-spray in presentation case, travel cleaning kits and eyewear-wearer accessories — a structural key for the optician counter.
Hard-cover catalogues with embossed print, leather or fabric agendas, technical spec sheets printed on certified paper, collection materials for buyers who fly back with the suitcase.
Branded cabin-size trolley, beauty case, leather pouch, travel kit, luxury presentation box for buyers with an open deal or trade-press delegations.
For an event like MIDO Milano, where halls cover whole areas of the Rho-Fiera complex and eyewear stands are usually built with high-investment custom build-outs, production and logistics need careful coordination. The reference Italian districts for eyewear are the Cadore (Belluno, where Italian eyewear was born with Luxottica) for metal and acetate work, the Brescia and Bergamo area for leather and PU cases, Florence and Santa Croce sull'Arno for leather cases, the Padua area for technical packaging, Como for technical textiles and microfibre. For high-volume runs we also work with EU production hubs (Portugal, Spain, Slovenia) on the base processing.
Logistics relies on the Rho-Fiera complex: appointment deliveries to halls 1, 3, 4 and 6 with loading windows coordinated by the organiser. For exhibitors staying at Rho-Looking (Mind, the hotel district of Cascina Merlata) or in central Milan, we organise split deliveries with dedicated express couriers (BRT, SDA, GLS, DHL Express Italy) and overnight drops to avoid the build-up days' truck queues. For international buyers arriving from Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo Orio al Serio, welcome kits can be delivered to the accredited hotel desk or directly to the buyer lounge.
Invoicing follows the standard Italian regime: 22% VAT through the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) of the Agenzia delle Entrate, EUR invoice ex-VAT for intra-EU buyers in reverse charge. For clients subject to CSRD (D.Lgs. 125/2024) we integrate a Scope 3 CO₂e data sheet per GHG Protocol. The certifications most requested on these programmes are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 on skin-contact textiles, GRS on recycled materials, FSC on paper and cardboard, REACH SVHC declaration on plastics and metals, Made in Italy per D.Lgs. 135/2009 when required by the brief. For premium optical packaging we also evaluate the manufacturer's ISO 9001 and leather supply-chain traceability (LWG — Leather Working Group). On tier pricing: starter 50-249 pieces per code, standard 250-999, enterprise 1,000-4,999, corporate 5,000+; standard payment terms 30 days from invoice date, 10% deposit on first order, improved terms after 90 days of trading history.
Twelve to fourteen weeks is the safest window for custom optical packaging and premium microfibre. Eight to ten weeks works for programmes on stock already available or for standardised accessory kits.
Yes, only after the organiser has confirmed the build-up window, the loading lane and the named consignee (surname, contact, mobile). For MIDO, appointment delivery with 48 hours' notice is the established practice.
Yes. Cases, microfibre, collection catalogues, welcome kits for international buyers and press kits can be packed and labelled as separate lots, with different consignees (hall, buyer lounge, hotel) and coordinated windows.
