Italy is the leading wine producer in the world and the country with the highest number of protected designations (528 DOCG, DOC and IGT according to the latest Federdoc and Agea figures). The autumn Mostra del Vino calendar touches Verona, Bolzano, Alba, Asti, Montalcino, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Avellino, Marsala, Noto and many other centres, with appointments ranging from a small cellar Mostra to a large sector fair. The shows combine tasting benches, walk-around tastings, masterclasses, awards, technical conferences and gala evenings, with a professional audience of wine merchants, restaurateurs, distributors, retail-chain buyers, sommeliers and trade press.
For wineries and consortia that wish to cover the season with their own merchandising — branded glasses, professional corkscrews, co-branded gift boxes, sommelier kits, materials for the masterclasses and guided tastings — planning opens in mid-summer. The production districts to engage are Veneto for machine-blown and mouth-blown glass (Vicenza, Murano), Friuli Venezia Giulia and Emilia Romagna for cutlery and corkscrews (Maniago, Premariacco), Tuscany for wine packaging (Florence, Siena), Lombardy for the technical textile of the events (Como), and the paper hubs of Fabriano and Capodarco for the printed room materials. For partnerships with restaurants and wine bars of the territory we add the districts of professional cutlery (Omegna, Caldogno) and of small leather goods (Scandicci, Florence).
From the Milan hub, Corp-Merch.IT runs the entire cycle: kick-off with the marketing director of the winery or with the head of the consortium, graphic adaptation, district producer qualification, physical pre-production sample with Pantone map and structured proposal within 48 working hours of the brief. For programmes that replicate the same season over multiple years we set up an annual supply contract with seasonal reviews and dedicated volume pricing. For multi-show partnerships (Mostra di Verona + Mostra di Bolzano + Mostra di Alba, for example) we replicate the catalogue with point customisations, shared packaging and consolidated logistics.
For Italian clients holding a VAT number, invoices are issued via the Agenzia delle Entrate Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) with 22% VAT in EUR; reduced rates of 4%, 5% or 10% apply to eligible product categories (books, editorial print, art pieces, wine editorial labels). Reverse charge applies to intra-EU buyers registered with VIES, split payment applies to public-administration stands, and Codice Destinatario or PEC is used for electronic delivery of the invoice. For corporate clients reporting under CSRD (D.Lgs. 125/2024 transposing Directive (EU) 2022/2464) we provide a sustainability sheet per order with Scope 3 CO₂e estimates aligned with the GHG Protocol, ESRS E1 (Climate Change), E5 (Resource Use) and S2 (Workers in the Value Chain), useful for the brand’s non-financial disclosure. For programmes that reach international buyers we operate as Authorised Economic Operator (AEOF) and handle CMR, packing list, origin declaration and customs clearance for the EU, Switzerland, the UK, the United States and the Gulf countries.
